Steve has been planning large scale and intimate events for over 18 years now.  He got his first taste of event planning during his time in graduate school in Miami, Florida.  Steve coordinated event logistics for University of Miami home football games at the Orange Bowl with over 70,000 fans in attendance.  He has continued his event planning roots in the field of higher education as well as planning private events for family and friends.  

Steve has planned and organized weddings, retirement parties, birthday parties, baby/bridal showers, engagement parties, family reunions, children's parties, galas and balls, commencement ceremonies, staff recognition dinners and awards ceremonies, game/trivia nights, golf tournaments and everything else in between.  

Steve's goal is to take care of all the details so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your special day.  Steve can assist you with full service event planning from start to finish or simply serve as your day of coordinator.  

Steve currently resides in Wolcott, CT with his wife / co-owner Valerie and their three beautiful children Natalie, Lorenzo & Dominic.

Valerie is originally from Long Island, NY and serves as our in-house DIY design expert.  She will work with your color schemes and pinterest boards to make your vision a reality.  She will help you identify and select decor that fits your theme, but also is within your budget.  

Val serves as one of our day-of coordinators to make sure that everything is executed the way you envisioned it.  Val can assist you with putting together welcome bags for your out of town guests, diaper cake creations for your baby shower, or gift basket arrangements for your golf tournament raffle.  

Besides her full time job as a MOM to Natalie, Lorenzo and Dominic...Val oversees all of the billing and accounts payable for SVN Events.  She will work with all of your vendors to make sure that contracts have been completed and that logistical details are communicated with each vendor.  

Val loves chocolate martinis, binge watching episodes of Married at First Sight and spending time with her fur baby's Angel & Rocco.

 My name is Nick Testa and I am the "N" in SVN Events and was Steve's college roommate. I have 25 years of experience in the business of hospitality & restaurant management. I have managed events from eight people to 2500 people, ranging from buffets to plated meals. 

Customer Service is our number one priority from the moment you begin your journey with SVN Events. We will take the time to listen to your needs and wants and work with you to create that special occasion that you were imagining. We want to ensure every detail of your event is managed correctly and with the utmost care. 

As one of the three partners with the SVN team I oversee the hiring, training and scheduling of our diverse event staff.  We can assist you with hiring caterers, bartenders, servers, waitstaff, laborers for setup and breakdown, valets, DJ's, photographers, and any other staffing needs that you may have for your special event.

In my free time, I love to cook and try out great new restaurants in the area. I enjoy spending time with my niece & nephew and teaching them both about the culinary arts.
